Holistic Grief Coaching is a supportive process that addresses the physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual aspects of grief, offering tailored approaches such as mindfulness, art, journaling, and reflective listening to help women process their loss in a safe, compassionate environment.
Each session is tailored to you and what you need in that moment. We usually begin with a few minutes of settling in—through calming breathwork or grounding practices—before moving into conversation. The focus is on creating a safe space where your grief is honored and where you can explore ways to support yourself in daily life.
Working with a Holistic Grief Coach offers you a safe and supportive space to be seen and heard without judgment or pressure to “get over” your grief. It’s about walking alongside you as you navigate the changes and challenges that come after loss, honoring your story while also gently creating room for what comes next. Through practices that connect mind, body, and spirit—such as breathwork, reflective conversation, creative expression, and grounding exercises—you’ll discover ways to tend to your emotions, regain steadiness, and explore new meaning in your life. Many people find that this approach not only helps them cope with grief but also nurtures resilience, restores balance, and encourages a deeper sense of self-compassion.
Traditional Bereavement Counselling often focuses on looking back, exploring the emotions, thoughts, and experiences connected to your loss. A counsellor works from a clinical or therapeutic lens, helping you process the past and understand how your grief is affecting you.
Holistic Grief Coaching is different. Instead, it offers a supportive, forward-looking space that honors your whole self—mind, body, and spirit. Together, we focus on the question of “what now?” by exploring practices such as breathwork, reflective conversation, expressive art, and body-based awareness. The goal is to create gentle pathways for healing and meaning-making, while fully respecting the uniqueness of your grief journey.
Absolutely! Many clients find that Holistic Grief Coaching complements therapy or counselling beautifully. Therapy may help you process your past and your mental health, while coaching offers tools and practices to support you in the present and create gentle steps forward.
Great question! “somatic” basically means tuning into your body. Grief doesn’t just live in your head—it lives in your body too. You might notice it as tightness in your chest, restlessness, or even just feeling “off.” In Holistic Grief Coaching, we will use gentle body-based practices to help you notice these sensations, settle into your nervous system, and find a little ease in the midst of grief. It’s about connecting with your body, honouring what it’s feeling, and letting it guide some of the healing.
Trauma-informed coaching helps clients feel safe, seen, and supported as they heal and grow. Core benefits include learning to manage emotions and stress, gaining resilience and confidence, and making positive life changes at a comfortable pace—empowering the client to move forward with greater self-awareness and hope.
Not at all. The art practices I offer are about expression, not perfection. You don’t need any artistic skill or experience. Art becomes a tool for reflection, release, and connection—another language for your grief when words aren’t enough.
Grief has no timeline, and the number of sessions depends on your unique needs. Some people come for just a few sessions to gain support through a difficult season, while others find ongoing sessions helpful as they continue adjusting to life after loss. We’ll always work together to find the right rhythm for you.
I support women experiencing all forms of grief—whether from the death of a loved one, the loss of identity, estrangement, or other life-altering changes. Every kind of grief deserves to be acknowledged and witnessed.
That’s okay. Holistic Grief Coaching is not about rushing your healing or pushing you into change. It’s about meeting you where you are, creating space for your grief to be witnessed, and offering gentle practices to help you feel supported when you’re ready.
Confidentiality is of utmost importance in my coaching practice. I adhere to the International Coach Federation's (ICF) Code of Ethics, which includes strict guidelines for maintaining client confidentiality.
